Detailed program of the tour:
Day 1
Our representative will meet you at Tirana International Airport and escort you to your hotel in Tirana. (Depending on your arrival time, you may have an info meeting with your tour director on the same day or the day after.)

Day 2
Our day will start with a visit at the main square of Tirana where we will visit the Ethem Bej mosque near the clock tower. Next we will drive towards the town of Durresi by the sea which started as a Greek colony in the VII century bc and grew to became one of the biggest Greek colony in the Mediteranean sea. Our visit in Durres will include the Archaeological museum and the II century AD Roman Amphitheater, which is the biggest of its kind in the Balkans.
In the second half of the day we will drive towards the historical town of Berat which is an UNESCO World heritage listed town, where we will visit the IV century bc fortress. In the afternoon we will check in the accommodation located in the old historical part of the town. Evening at leisure.

Day 3
In the first part of the day we drive towards and visit Apollonia Archaeological park which used to be one of the biggest Greek colonies in the Adriatik sea. Now days it is the biggest archaeological site in Albania. Our visit will include the main public area and the archaeological museum of the park located in the Christian Orthodox Monastery nearby.
Next we will continue with a scenic drive through the bay of Vlora and through the forest of Llogara National Park, from where we can admire the whole coast line and the Greek islands in the Ionian sea.
We will continue our drive through the region of Himara by the sea where we will make a visit at Ali Pasha fortress located in the bay of Panormi (also knows as Porto Palermo bay) which is a rare example of french military engineering, built in the first decade of the XIX century. In the afternoon we will continuing our drive towards the town of Saranda by the sea, where we will check in our hotel.

Day 4
After breakfast we will visit Butrinti Arcaheological park (an UNESCO World heritage site) which started as a Greek colony in the end of the VII century BC and is now days one of the best preserved archaeological sites in Albania. Our visit int he park will include (not only) the main public area, the Greek theater, the roman bath, the Baptistery, the Nimfeum, the Basilica, the Venetian fortress and the museum of the park.
In the second part of the day we will drive east towards the town of Gjirokastra, on the way we will visit Blue Eye natural water springs park. In Gjirokastra we will visit the XIII century byzantine fortress located on the hill overlooking the old town and the Drinos river valley. In the afternoon we will check in our accommodation located in the old part of the town. Evening at leisure to explore the old bazaar of the town on your own.

Day 5
Today we will drive towards the town of Korca located in the East part of Albania, near the borders with Greece and Macedonia. Our drive will take us throguth the valley of Vjosa river, next tot the town of Permet, the remote town of Leskovik, through Germenji national park and the town of Erseka. We will arrive in the town of Korca in the afternoon where we will check in our hotel located in the old part of the town. Evening at leisure to explore the town of Korca on your own.

Day 6
Our visit in Korca will start from the old christian Orthodox cathedral which has one of the most impressive Altarst and icons in Albania. Next visit will be at the old bazaar of the town. We will continue our tour towards the town of Poradec located on the south shore of Ohrid lake.
After crossing the borders into Macedonia, our first visit will be at the monastery of Saint Naum located on a rock overlooking the lake and next to the black Drin natural water springs park. We will end the day with a scenic drive on the East side of the lake all the way to the town of Ohrid where we will check in our accommodation located in the old part of the town. Evening at leisure to explore the old town of Ohrid on your own.

Day 7
In the first part of the day, we shall explore the old town of Ohrid which is an UNESCO World heritage listed town. Our visit will start form the upper part of the town and will include (not only) the Icons Gallery, the roman amphitheater, the Plaoshnik archaeological site and more. After a scenic walk by the lake we will end our visit of the old town of Ohrid at Sveti Sophia church.
In the second part of the day we will visit the the Hercalea Lincestis Archaeological site located near the town Bitola (Manastiri), which was a town founded by Philip the father of Alexander the great. Our visit in the old town of Bitola (Manastiri) which used to be one of the biggest towns in the region during the Othoman Empire period. In the afternoon we will return in the town of Ohrid.

Day 8
In the first part of the day we will drive towards the town of Tetovo where we will visit the colorful mosque of Tetovo, which is a rare example of islamic art combined with the local traditional art and motives.
In the second part of the day we will drive towards Skopje the capital of Macedonia where we will visit the old part of the town where the bazaar, the main christian Orthodox cathedral and the famous stone bridge are located. Evening at leisure to explore the center of the town on your own.

Day 9
After breakfast we will drive towards Kosova. First visit will be at Gracanica christian Orthodox monastery which is famous for its colorful afrescoss of XIV century which are still in very good condition. After a short visit in the Prishtina (which is the capital of Koova) we will continmue our tour North towards the Monastery of Decani which is an UNESCO World heritage site, a symbol of the slavic orthodox church and the Serbian history, famous for its impressive church and peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon we will drive towards the historical town of Prizren where we will check in our hotel located in the old part of the town.

Day 10
After breakfast we will make an walking tour of the old town of Prizren. Next we will drive towards Alabnia, where our next stop will be in the historical town of Kruja. Our visit in Kruja will start form the Othoman fortress (XV century) and will include the Skanderbeg’s museum, the Ethnographic museum, the Bektashi mosque and the old bazaar. In the afternoon we will check in our hotel in Kruja.

Day 11
After breakfast we will drive you to Tirana International Airport for your flight back home.
